Privacy at Velisi.
Velisi is built in the EU, GDPR-first, from day one. This page explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.
Who we are
The data controller for this website and the Velisi services described here is Velisi, represented by Anna Sivén, Founder & CEO. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email us at hello@velisi.io.
What we collect
We collect information only when you choose to give it to us or when it is generated automatically as you browse the site.
- Applications and waitlist submissions. When you apply to join Velisi or sign up for updates through our Notion forms, we collect your name, email address, company, role or title, LinkedIn profile, and the answers you provide about your goals and motivations.
- Booking details. When you schedule an intro call via Google Calendar, we collect the information you enter into the booking form and the time slot you select.
- Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to collect basic usage data such as page views, referrer URLs, device type, browser, and approximate location. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Why we process it and our legal basis
We process your data under two lawful bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We rely on your consent for applications, waitlist signups, and bookings. You give this consent when you submit the form. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We rely on legitimate interest for basic site analytics, which we use to understand how visitors find and use our site and to improve it.
Who we share it with
We work with a small number of service providers to run the site and process your submissions. Your data may be processed by:
- Notion, for storing and managing application and waitlist submissions.
- Google Calendar, for scheduling and managing intro calls.
- Google Analytics, for basic site usage statistics.
- Lovable, which provides the hosting and infrastructure for this website.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
International transfers
Some of the providers listed above may process data outside the EU or EEA, including in the United States. When that happens, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted under GDPR, such as the provider's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
Application and waitlist data is kept while your request is under consideration and for a reasonable period afterward so we can follow up with you. It is then deleted on request or after a period of inactivity. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings, which you can read in Google's own documentation.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your data, also known as the right to be forgotten.
- Restrict or object to our processing of your data.
- Receive a portable copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi) or with the data protection authority in your own country.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to run the site, plus Google Analytics cookies for basic usage statistics. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles about visitors.
